'Draw New Lines'
Art Journal Page
for Bad Girls Couture
+ VIDEO

Hello All!
I'm here today to share some inspiration with you.

I have created an Art Journal Page,
from my 'Park Ave Penthouse Journal'.

I have started with one of the black card pages,
with black zig-zag stitching around the edges.

I have then used my 'Haute Mess Clear Gesso', to seal my page.
I have then added some'Haute Mess Matte Gel Medium'to add some texture to my page,
as it will set, if you can see brush strokes, they will stay as texture.

I have torn up some pieces of collage papers and used my 'Haute Mess Matte Gel Medium',
to adhere them to my page.

I have then mixed some 'Matte Gel Medium' with my
'Haute Mess Acrylic Paint' in 'X-Rated'.
I have roughly added patches of the yellow, leaving lines and lumpy bits that will set.

I have then used a stencil and my 'Haute Mess Molding Paste', to stencil a pattern.
I have then used 'Haute Mess Acrylic Paint' in 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'
to stencil through the same stencil, with a sponge.

I have then mixed some of my 'Haute Mess Glass Bead Gel' together with some
'Haute Mess Acrylic Paint' in 'Sweet Candy Kisses'.
I have applied it roughly, with a palette knife.

To finish I have added some more collage papers torn up.
I have added a quote that I love,
and some letters to spell out my title.

I also have a process VIDEO of exactly how this page came together.

Until next time!

I have used the following Bad Girls Couture Products:

'Take the Scenic Route'
Kaisercraft
Journey

Hello again!

I'm here today to share my latest creation for

using their very cool 'Journey' collection, released this month.

'Always Take the Scenic Route'

\

I have gone a bit book crazy for this layout.
I loved them and wanted to have a huge pile
to use as the centre of my layout.

First though I need some Kaiser Mists in Gold & Navy.

I have used the ' Decorative Borders Decorative Die'.
and elements from the 'Collectables' in among my layers.
I have also fussy cut the lanterns in the background.

I have added some stickers from the 'Sticker Book' and of course that gorgeous 'Curio'.

So many layers!
I love dimension to my layouts.
I have used cardboard and foam tape to raise different layers of the books.

I love how this turned out. Perfect for any of your travel pics!

Don't forget you can find the full instructions for this layout

Thanks for stopping by!

Illuminate the Dark
Scrap Matrix 'Art by Marlene' Challenge

Hello all!

It's Lisa here today to share some crafty goodness,
created for this month's challenge over at

Scrap Matrix

For this challenge, I have created an 'Art by Marlene' inspired layout,
featuring my daughter and her best friend.

'Illuminate the Dark'

For this layout, I have started with a white cardstock base.
I have given it a coat of 'Dina Wakley Clear Gesso' to seal my page.

I have then used my 'Distress Oxide Spray in Faded Jeans'
mixed with some water to flow around my page.

I have used my heat gun to dry it, as I keep moving the liquid around the area I want it.
This way I get layers of deeper blue and areas of lighter blue.

Then out come some stamps :)

First I have used my 'Art by Marlene -Storms Don't Last Stamp Set',
I have used the flower stamps and my 'Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Faded Jeans',
to randomly stamp around my page.

Next, I have used the 'AAll & Create - Stamp #35'
'7 Dots Studio - Northern Lights Stamp Set'
& my 'Art by Marlene' stamps, using the hearts and crosses,
with my 'Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black'

Now I need some more layers of goodness.
For this, I have used 'Art by Marlene Collage Papers 3 & 4'.

I have found pieces in the colours I wanted and have adhered them to my page.
Some have been scrunched and tucked in and layered with some gauze.

I have added some 'Vintage Lace 2 - Diane Cream' and then my photo.

I have added a 'Leaf Silver Charm', tucked under the corner of my photo.

I have also used my 'AAll & Create Stamp #35' to stamp a sentiment for my page.

I have then added some
'Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Creative Diary Back Chat Stickers'
 to my layout.

I have finished with my title,
stamping my 'Art by Marlene - Storms Don't Last Stamps'
sentiment with black ink.

I had a lot of fun with this layout.
It's fun to try something new.

I hope that you like what I have created.

Until next Time!

Tech Tuesday
Morning Dew Cards

Hello all!
I'm here today to share some cards with you that I have created for
Kaisercraft
I have used the Morning Dew collection.

I wanted to create some mixed media backgrounds
for my cards using the Clear Stamp Set.

I have also created a couple of traditional cards,
as I know not everybody wants to get messy.

For my first card I have used the floral stamp,
and my watermark stamp pad to stamp on my card base.
I have then used clear embossing powder and a heat gun to set it.

I have then used my Turquoise Kaiser Mist to spray my card.
I also added some water to get a better flow.
The stamped and embossed areas resist most of the colour.

I have then used the same stamp for the flowers on my card.
I have added some die cuts, collectables and stickers to finish.

You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

For my next card I have again used the Turquoise Kaiser Mist.
Once dried I have then used the butterfly stamps to stamp with black ink,
randomly over my card.

I have then used papers from the paper pad, collectables and stickers to embellish it.
I have also stamped out some extra butterflies to be added for some dimension.

You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

Now for some more traditional cards.

I have used papers from the paper pad.
I love that pebble paper!

I have layered this up with stickers from the Sticker Book, and some collectables.

I have added the gorgeous bird sticker,
and a collectable butterfly, with it's wings folded up.

You can find the full instructions for this layout HERE.

For my final card, I have used some of the gorgeous papers in the paper pad.
I have also used some of the die-cut brackets, from the paper pad.

I have layered these with stickers from the Sticker Book, and a paper bloom.

I have also used some of the collectbales to finish off.

You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

I hope you like what I have created.

Until next time!

2Crafty & CSI Challenge Blog - Precious

Hello all!
I'm back today to share some inspiration with you.
As 2Crafty is sponsoring this month's challenges over at
CSI Challenge, so I got to play along!

I have used the #287 Mood Board

Here is what I have created.

2Crafty Products Used:

Mini Word Set 2                         Grid Panel

Sybill's Name Plates

For this layout, I have scrapped a photo of me and my son at the beach.

I have used the 'Grid Panel',
which I cut into pieces,
and used among my layers and elements.

I have finished the panel with gold embossing powder.
I have then added blue Stickles, to the intersecting pieces of the panel.

The gold and blue work so well with my colour scheme.
I have used the Antiquities collection from Kaisercraft.

Some more close ups :)

Lots of layers.

For my title, I have used one of the 'Sybill's Name Plates',
that I have embossed in a two-tone blue.

I have then added one of the 'Mini Word Set 2',
that I have also embossed in gold.

I hope that you like what I have created this month.
Why not play along with this month's challenge,
for a chance to win some awesome 2Crafty Chipboard.

Until next time!
