From the Heart Card & Video for 7 Dots Studio

Hello! I'm back today to share a creation for

7 Dots Studio

This time I have a card to share with you all....

'From the Heart'

For this creation I have used the gorgeous Homegrown Collection,
which despite being a few releases ago now, is still one of my favourite collections.
I love the warm tones.

I wanted to create lots of depth and dimension to my card,
and I have used lots of layers to achieve this.

I have started with some mixed media on my base,
and built up my layers using the gorgeous papers.

I have also used some tags, die cut elements, element and word stickers to layer up.

I have also used some gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard pieces, behind my flower and also tucked into my layers. Those gorgeous butterflies and beetle are from some gorgeous Ephemera Sheets, from the very talented Sue Smythe. These are available at The Crafty Chain or from Sue herself.
These are so beautiful I did hesitate to cut into them!
I have also used an assortment of flowers, some of them,
including the large red one, are from Little Birdie Crafts.

I hope you like what I have created,
there is even a process video showing exactly how I created this card.
You can watch it below :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Capture the Moment - 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello!
I'm here today to share a layout that I have created for

2Crafty Chipboard

My latest creation is featuring a photo of my children and I.
It started as a pic of my daughter and I and we were photo bombed,
 quite perfectly, by my son!
It was the perfect capture.

Anybody that know me, know I LOVE a black background....
and it makes my chipboard stand out and shine!

So, for this layout I have used a number of the 'View Finder' chipboard pieces,
these come in different sizes so are awesome for layering.

I have finished my 'View Finders' in white gesso, which gives a great matte finish.
I have then used watercolours to partially colour them in colours to co-ordinate with my papers.

I used some Pink Fresh Studios papers for this layout.
I have layered some of the view finders in my paper layers.

I have also used one of the 'Assorted Mini Camera Set' and one of the 'Assorted Arrows',
I have embossed these in white.

Finally I have used 'Capture the Moment' as my title,
which I have also embossed in white. I love how it pops off the black background.

Beauty for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello everybody!

I'm back today to share a layout with you that I have created for

This layout features a photo of mine.
I really love nature and macro photography, and this is just one of my shots.

For this layout I have gone for a nature/floral arrangement around my photo.
I have used the Vintage Moments collection from 13Arts.
Lots of fussy cutting of the floral elements that went so well with my photo.

I have used two of the 'Leafy Shrub Set 1'. One on either side of my photo.

I have finished these first in white gesso, and then with some shimmery spray.
I let it pool in some areas so that the colour would be stronger.

I have also used two of the 'Sharon's Butterflies', I have glued these to the leafy shrubs, as if they had just landed. I also bend their wings up slightly to give added dimension.
These have been finished in watercolour paints.

I am really loving the watercolour effects.

Some gorgeous flowers...

Lastly I have used the word beauty from the 'Fine Word Set 2', as my title.
I have left this raw for a more natural feel.
